Good Things Come To Those Who Shift

Many of us have been there.

You know… those times that you feel like you’re in a total funk. Everything was just going according to plan than in an instant it all changed, your emotions are now telling you that you’re feeling empty, lost, and directionless.

I’ve been there.

There have been many moments in my life where a major, life-altering decision had to be made. The thoughts + emotions that ran alongside them were similar to a strenuous workout, but for the precious mind. Prior to becoming a full-time entrepreneur, I graduated college and did what any other person would do — I got a full-time desk job at a local PR firm in my hometown. (Sound familiar to your current situation?)

Society teaches us to look for jobs, not opportunity.

Even myself being in my 20’s, I recognized that this is completely accurate. There are people who DO NOT want you to succeed and then there is a small group of people who genuinely do. βœˆπŸ’°

From my experience, you may need a LIFE SHIFT if:

  • The satisfaction you once received from your employer has diminished and stress eats away at the enjoyment you try to have out of work
  • You try a new side gig that ends up having more cons than pros
  • Money becomes an obsession where it’s unhealthy. Your relationships take a toll and perspectives are altered to be distant from a place a gratitude.

If you related to any of the above, it’s really OK to step back and reevaluate where you are at. Friends, co-workers, and family members may not believe in your dreams, but in all truthfulness, they are not the ones paying your bills.

Fail forward. Take massive risks. Find balance in your life. — Make the Shift Happen. πŸ™‚
