Wish List: Peace of Mind

Why do we get so wrapped up in the whirlwind of life on Earth?

I find it fascinating that we tend to sweat the small stuff… our Jobs, the Responsibilities we assign ourselves, and the ultimate strive to “Perfection.” There may even be times where you question the path you are currently on and ask yourself, “Why am I not where I want to be?”πŸ˜“

PEACE OF MIND.

It’s something the soul of everyone craves, YET most of us completely dismiss it from our everyday routine. Slow down, smell the roses, and gaze at the beauty surrounding you constantly.🌹 There are ALWAYS ways to slow down the mind –Taking action will create habits, which will in return mold you into the person you want to become. Simple, right? Well, YES and NO…

With patience and self-discipline, you can achieve the “impossible”, even if that might be to remain calm in circumstances that may have upset you in the past. If you slip up one day, keep moving forward. ❀ We are human after all and will make mistakes along the way, but being apart of the small percentage that genuinely wants to change … Well, you are special.

{ 6 } Ways I’ve Found To Keep The Peace:

  1. Stop Expecting – Tony Robbins said it best, β€œTurn your expectations into appreciation and your whole world changes in an instant.”
  2. Take Time for Self-Care – Whether you love taking long bubble baths, the smell of candles lingering in the air, or being wrapped in a cozy blanket, set aside “me” time to reset.
  3. Put The Phone Down – If you are feeling anxious or uneasy, step away from your device. You will realize being in the current moment with a grateful attitude can improve your perspective and mood in a quick manner.
  4. Forgive Others – Your past may be dark, but living in it within the present day won’t break the everlasting cycle. In order to overcome grudges, you WILL need to forgive the people who have hurt you ( even if they don’t deserve it ) and move on to find peace.
  5. Meditate Often – I’ve found sitting in a quiet room with my thoughts and soft breathing can help to find my inner zen, along with setting the tone for the entire day.
  6. Make Hobbies A Priority – There have been many friends/family members of mine that have no clue as to what they love to do. ➑️ What do you mean you don’t have any hobbies!? For me, I would include exercise, reading books, trading in the Forex market, and writing this blog for you all to enjoy!

As 2018 rapidly comes to a close, it is a time to reflect on what is and what is about to become in the new year! How do you find peace and what would you like to improve upon in 2019? ✨
